Job Descriptions
Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) / Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA):
Manage a caseload of behavioral intervention in a home, school, community or clinic based programs. Establish individualized home-based behavioral intervention programs using methods of applied behavior analysis (ABA), such as discrete trial teaching (DTT), natural environment teaching (NET), pivotal response treatment (PRT), verbal behavior, etc. Conduct all supervisory and program management responsibilities for families participating in the Intensive ABA or Consultative Support models of service delivery. Supervise, shadow and train ABA/habilitation therapists working directly with clients. Work with and supervise Bachelor’s level assistant supervisors (BCaBA). Maintain regular contact with families and staff at appropriate times. Ensure appropriate implementation and maintenance of individualized ABA Programs. Provide hands-on training or coaching and demonstrations of ABA techniques for staff and families. Develop, monitor, and analyze individualized data measurement systems for each program. Conduct team meetings and prepare reports to update client’s programs. Follow up at regular intervals with families and staff to ensure successful implementation of interventions and instructional programs. Help families prepare for IEP/IFSP meetings ahead of time and attend when possible. Assist with clinic opening and closing procedures. Initialize and maintain credentials with insurance carriers for billing purposes.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Human Services or related field/BCBA, Bachelor’s degree for the BCaBA.
- BACB certification/ Alaska State License in ABA
- Experience in using ABA with individuals with disabilities and/ or challenging behaviors.
- Must have reliable vehicle and current driver’s license
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check
Registered Behavior Technician (RBT):
1:1 direct implementation of intensive behavioral intervention. Implement program goals in the learner’s natural environments. Teaching formats may consist of natural environment training, discrete trial training, community based training, or a combination of various formats. Collect relevant data in an accurate and timely manner. Assist with functional analysis/functional behavior assessment. Work with minimal day-to-day supervision while soliciting professional assistance in areas of responsibility as necessary. Participates in staff conferences for discussion of diagnosis and treatment of clients. Works independently with little direction as well as cooperatively in a team environment. Works confidentially with discretion; respect client confidentiality. Maintain a high standard of professional ethics at all times. Assist with clinic opening and closing procedure.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
*College Education required for some locations* - At least 18 years old
- Completion of Relias RBT Training before authorized to work with clients
- Must have reliable vehicle and current driver’s license
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check
Speech Language Pathologist
Responsible for the administration and direct application of speech/language pathology treatment modalities as prescribed by a referring physician. Responsible for providing individual therapy and consultation services to clients who have delays in the areas of speech and language and feeding disorders, as well as other areas of development. Emphasis on building parent capacity to provide support to their child’s area of concern during daily routines, using parent coaching strategies.. Provides early intervention services in child and family’s natural environment. Maintains confidentiality of all information as required.
Qualifications:
- Must be a graduate of an accredited school and hold a MS in Communication Sciences and Disorders.
- Must have a demonstrated skills ability for providing speech pathology care and acute based hospital care.
- Must be licensed by the State of Alaska.
- Experience and skills in swallowing evaluations is preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of equipment including computer programs and augmentative communication.

Office Receptionist
The Office Receptionist serves patients by greeting and helping them. Under supervision, provides clerical support for Behavior Matters through office organization, accounting assistance, records maintenance, reception, scheduling, and general support.
