Autism is a developmental disability defined by its symptoms. Characteristics of Autism include impairments in social interactions, impairments in communication and repetitive patterns of behavior. Autism is on the rise and increasing 10-17% each year. Scientific studies indicate that early intervention is the key to effective change. At Behavior Matters, each program is developed to help families with loved ones diagnosed with Developmental delays, such as Autism, PPD or Asperger’s Syndrome. The programs are developed by a Board Certified Behavior Analysts and utilizes principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to change behaviors and lives.

We are a local ABA agency located in Eagle River serving the Anchorage/ Mat-Su valley and now the Juneau area. We currently have 6 BCBA’s.  All of Behavior Matters employee’s have experience and/or extensive education and training in the science of Applied Behavior Analysis.  Many of our staff members are in school to become Board Certified.  Each member of the Behavior Matters Team has been handpicked for their expertise, compassion and eagerness to serve families of children with developmental delays.
